GRATITUDE MEDITATION — The direction of our thoughts transforms and changes our attitude, our lives and the world
it’s one of the most powerful and rewarding exercises we can practice. To develop an attitude of gratitude creates contentment, true happiness – even bliss.
Gratitude makes us feel better immediately by changing any negative energy to positive energy. Gratitude and negativity cannot exist in the same place at the same time.
So, start right now – pay attention to your breathing , notice it in and out and let it be calm and relaxed .
As you pay attention to your breathing, breathe in to every part of your body —-focus on breath and gratitude for breath, filled with positive energy and the wisdom of the ages, of god spirit, of your highest self
As you continue this calming relaxation consider the following questions and the possible answers to them –
And if you find something that you can’t be grateful for, just bless it. Blessing something is very powerful —
• What freedoms, unique abilities, and options do I have that others may not?
• What advantages have I been given in life?
• What positive relationships do I have that others may not?
• What allies and supporters do I have that others may not?
• What do I take for granted that I will not any longer?
As you continue to relax, you begin to feel the wonderful peaceful state of gratitude. And you consider the following:
Whatever receives my attention is magnified, If I notice a pain or an irritation and give it my attention, my aggravation increases. Likewise, when I hold a thought of the ways I am blessed, my sense of gratitude and appreciation builds —
So ask yourself, Where am I putting my attention? If it hovers around the negative, shift it back to that gratitude, freedom and peace.
